About Tiffany

My name is Tiffany Shearn, and I am a fantasy novel author.

I grew up an avid reader of fiction. While fantasy is my favorite, I often read mystery, adventure, science fiction, and even some horror. Books take me away to another world, and they started my imagination soaring. I began writing because the stories in my head became too distracting to contain any longer, so I put the keyboard to work and brought my characters to life.

My husband and I live in the Puget Sound area of Washington state, where both of us were born and raised. We have a niece and two nephews, and two cats that he says are mine, but he loves them too.

In my professional life, I’m an independent financial consultant. I love the numbers side of things. Numbers make sense to me, and I see them as a puzzle to solve to discover the answers. My personal passions lie on the more creative side.

Along with my reading and writing, one of my biggest hobbies is playing Dungeons & Dragons. I play in my husband’s games, and he plays in mine. The game, the world-building, the cooperative storytelling…all of it is a blast for us, and we love getting together with our friends for a night of puzzles, clues, and combat.
